First, activate the first two rope bridges by pulling the wires out of the ground. Now, return to the starting area, and to the side, you’ll find another set of wires, which gives you a projectile with a net inside. If done successfully, the Gran Turismo Special Bot and the “Grand Tourist” trophy will unlock. Before you do that, stand on the edge just to the left of where you need to pull the chest from the ground.

The platinum trophy‚ the ultimate reward‚ is unlocked by earning all other trophies and completing the game. This system ensures a smooth progression for players aiming to fully complete the game. Rescuing special bots in Astro Playroom requires solving riddles or performing specific actions in each world. For example‚ punching a bush in the GPU Jungle reveals the Selen bot from Returnal. These hidden characters are tied to PlayStation history and unlock unique trophies.

Astro’s Playroom is a free platforming game, included as a pack-in with the PS5. It’s inspired by the characters and concepts first introduced in The Playroom and The Playroom VR, which culminated in the full-blown Astro Bot Rescue Mission for PlayStation VR. The Playroom

This is a game many people might look past in their excitement to play one of the AAA launch titles for the PlayStation 5, but that would be a mistake. Astro’s Playroom is utterly charming, surprisingly deep and shows, more than many other titles, some of what makes the PS5 unique. Better graphics and faster load times are fine, but the subtle effects that are imparted via the controller are something new — and something wonderful. And Astro shows that while Sony might excel at realistic and sometimes dark games, it’s also very capable of making a title that young kids can enjoy. While it might not be as deep and rich a world as Super Mario Bros., Astro’s Playroom is a title that young and old can both enjoy. The Playroom is a casual video game that is a collection of augmented reality mini-games.

The platformer also paved the way for the successful Astro Bot, Team Asobi’s hit game from 2024 that earned numerous Game of The Year awards. While Astro Bot may have eclipsed Astro’s Playroom, it seems developers have not forgotten about the adorable Astro’s first adventure, as the robot’s first game recently received new content. What caught me off guard the most was the hub area, CPU Plaza, having surprise platforming sections along its walls that spring to life instantly. However, the gameplay highlights in Astro’s Playroom are the special suits of the four areas. A grassy plain looks stunning in 4K, only for the plants to be lead with PlayStation face button symbols rather than flowers. A rocky wall you need to climb has coves jutting out that… are actually recreations of trigger switches.

It also teases that a selection of gatchas, or collectibles that can be earned via an in-game arcade machine, have been added, too. See in action a level of Astro’s Playroom, the platformer that comes free with your PlayStation 5 and shows off the cool new features of the DuelSense controller. You don’t usually see this kind of charm and polish in the genre unless it has Mario’s name attached to it. Granted, Astro isn’t as acrobatic as our favorite Italian plumber. He has a simple move set consisting of a jump, a hover, and some punches. But Astro’s Playroom never feels dull for a second thanks to its unbounded creativity.

We awarded the game a 9/10 in our Astro’s Playroom PS5 review, describing it as a “love letter to PlayStation”. Take control of ASTRO and feel the world through your DualSense wireless controller. Every step you take, every jump you make and every enemy you defeat are expressed in ways never felt before thanks to new, cutting-edge vibration technology.

The Ninja Bots DLC was released on 13 March 2014 and supports up to four players. 88vv is worth noting that the game is maintained in a very colorful artistic style, which may appeal to both older and younger players. Astro’s Playroom has a new tool in that regard, of course, with the PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller and its haptic feedback.
